In the city of Ridgeland, Ridgeland Municipal Court has jurisdiction over misdemeanors and other criminal offenses. Hearings dealing with violations of Ridgeland city ordinances are also dealt with in Ridgeland Municipal Court
Ridgeland is bounded to the north by Lake Castle Road and the west by Natchez Trace Parkway. County Line Road and part of Interstate 55 and US Highway 220 separates Ridgeland from Jackson. Spillway Road and the Ross Barnett Reservoir form the eastern border of Ridgeland. Appearances regarding criminal offenses as well as any traffic violations that occur within these boundaries will be held in Ridgeland Municipal Court. Initial appearances for someone accused of a felony will also be held here. Ridgeland Police Department arrests are resolved in the Ridgeland Municipal Court. Officers with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department along with the Mississippi Highway Patrol also can make arrests in the city of Ridgeland.
